Expectations

It's hard being a son, there are all these expectations imposed upon you that you had never agreed to. Sometimes its really just hard to get a good reaction from my parents, the last time I had a positive reaction from my parents was... i can't even remember. They spot any flaw in your life and then it's scolding galore. You try to give a perfect front, they spot a flaw anyway. It's just never good enough. It's like I'm never allowed to make any mistakes at all. I mean can you please forgive me if I did something wrong unintentionally and not perpetually bringing it up forever. Sometimes parents can be such a stumbling block in life, never thinking their words through, being utterly insensitive and hurtful. I really wish there is something I can do to live up to their unspoken expectations.
