How can life get so bad?
I am not happy,
not happy at all.
I can't even find any motivation to do anything. It's like the ground has turned to quicksand and I am so overwhelmed that I don't even try to struggle. I've tried things that I liked doing, I went to take photos but they did not turn out nice and that to me is downright depressing. Also being continuously pounded by a lack of finances to do anything really bothers me. Worst of all I'm am constantly taunted by the fact that I will always be poor if I don't get a degree. Even then, I would only be middle income. Singapore is difficult, it is really difficult. The extent of the depression in my life now has reached a point that I am looking forward to the army. To be away from everything, and the 2 years of army also mean that I am free from 2 years of constantly worrying that I will be poor for the rest of my life. I always say that I want to be really really rich in the future, and that seems really shallow and extremely secular but being poor really sucks, having just enough to get by is actually not enough at all, because getting by is not enough. I need a change in heart, I need to stop needing. I need to start a business.

I have this haunting worry in my mind, whenever I see you and your pretty little face. I worry about the world and its crushing weight upon you, as the sea of life and its torrents flow will your little hermit crab (encrusted with diamonds and laced with pearls) shell hold. Your eyes are as narrow as your mind, you are as inward looking as the mirror that looks back at you. When will you see that the world is a little smarter than you think, that your facades are as clear as glass. No one buys your little plays, no one even cares to tell you. No one is waiting for you to grow up, they are moving on without you. This is my worry, this is the nail I step upon whenever you break down ever so dramatically. You are like a actor that performs to yourself. Wake up Wake up Wake up... and move on.

I wish I could walk away from you, I really really do. I don't know what keeps me here anymore. If you ever read this you will be really angry and sad and... etc. But you will never ever get the message behind these lines. Because you always get angry and refuse to accept anything that is said about you. You have assumptions about yourself that cannot seem to be changed no matter how hard I try. To be honest I rarely get angry with you, I just feel like I gave up.

I have to say this again but it really amazes me how much you can make everything about you.

The Different kinds of Followers

There have been thousands of articles written about leaders, now I want to write an observation I made on the people who follow these leaders. Basically, I broke it down to a few major catagories of followers, maybe you can identify when one you are. Read carefully, make sure not to miss anything out.

1) The Dandilions - People who play follow the leader. They have no opinions, no suggestions and no problems. Leaders love these people, they provide free labour. However these people are usually very smart, not wasting energy in politics and people pleasing, instead these people are constantly on the watch for better and more capable leaders to follow, ultimately "using" these leaders to reach their own goals.

2) The Love Grass - These are the leeches of the leaders, parasites of the pack. They stick to the leaders like glue, usually becoming their close friends. They are not capable of attaining the status of a leader due to their lack of influence, charisma and so on. However these people are usually the greatest influencers of all. They are the ones that pee into the river upstream when others are drinking downstream. They use their friendship with the leader to get what they want.

3) The rose buds - The premature leaders, these are the bane of the leader's existence. Whenever they oppose whatever decision the leaders make, they make sure that it is known and blown out of porpotion. Similar to the Love Grasses, they are still lacking leadership qualities but unlike the love Grasses, will gain them in due time. These usually do not become very good leaders, having too much ego and too little EQ. Everything's a race to them and they have to win all the time. The only reason why they are still following a certain leader is because they won't have much friends if they do not do so.

4) The weeds - These are the laziest of all people, they are always around but they just don't do much. Fueled by the fear of being lonely, these people will turn up are every gathering and do nothing at all. Generally these people grow up to be accountants, physics teachers, Computer analyist and accountants. The boring people. BOOOOO.

By now you should have realised that whatever I have written is totally bogus even though they might contain some truths. So please don't go around accusing all your love grass friends. Finally just a disclaimer, please do not label your boring friends as weeds, weed is a drug, boring friends do not take drugs.

I need a portfolio

I realized recently that I needed to make a port folio. I do think I can do free lance photography with proper training but this is something I'm terribly afraid to do. I have been pondering over the idea of doing some professional photography but I have so many doubts and worries. Like for example, my equipment is not good enough for the standards of the industry and I don't think I am good enough too. But however by looking at the work of some professional photographers out there I think I can be a professional too, Haha. Another thing worries me is that everyone seems to think that I must be a marketeer or something like that to have a future, but I don't know. I feel like I have to be in the creative industry, art is something that I love doing.

I thought of just giving photography a try by applying for a job placement in SPH, as recommended by a good professional photographer. But the problem now is that I have to make a port folio, and I have simply no idea how to go about doing it. I don't have model like friends "no offense to anyone". Moreover, the photo shoots organized by online forums are down right sleazy, it's all like lingerie shoots or bikini shoots, I am surprise as to what passes off as photographers nowadays. So if anyone reading this wants to be a model or has friends who want to be models please let me know. I will help them to do their portfolios and create mine in the mean time. Man i really need a portfolio.
